MONTREAL ACQUIRES CZECH CENTERMAN FROM GATINEAU FOR 2ND ROUND PICK

The Montreal Juniors continued to surprise their fans at the 2010 entry draft. After dealing their 1st round pick to Shawinigan in a trade that saw defenseman Charles-Olivier Roussel move to the Juniors organization, they decided to move their 2nd round draft pick to the Gatineau Olympiques in exchange for 18 year old centerman Denis Kindl (seen in photo).

With this acquisition Montreal fills one of two European roster spots. Kindl will likely center the 3rd line for Montreal and should provide some offensive depth. Last year Kindl scored 17 goals and 20 assists for 37 points in 65 games played. In the post season his production increased as he scored 3 goals and 5 assists for 8 points in 10 games played.
